We are stringing the lights and invite our neighbors and friends to join us for an Analog Holiday Market! December 3rd and 4th, our "vintage coffee co-op," Analog Market, celebrates the festive season at 923 Gist Ave in Downtown Silver Spring. Pop-up vintage, vinyl, arts, and craft vendors will gather with themed-activities, music, tacos, and of course, Bump 'n Grind Coffee.

Since 2022 kicked off, Bump 'n Grind Wax has been active playing the music we love, building up the record store at Analog Market, and promoting our growing brand over the past couple months. Much of our efforts have been in anticipation for the arrival of our fifth 7" release from Jacques Renault. BNG-005 is a labor of love and patience, one subject to the numerous delays impacting the global vinyl record industry. We are happy to finally announce that our black wax shipment of BNG-005 has arrived stateside!

Analog Market runs July - December @ 923 Gist Ave!

Bump 'n Grind is hosting a six month pop up series called Analog Market at our new project at 923 Gist Ave in Downtown Silver Spring! The series kicks off July 2nd, will be Saturday and Sunday from 9am - 4pm through December.  Analog Market is held in a two- story 1950's home, with a front garden and back patio, walking distance to Silver Spring Metro and the rest of Downtown Silver Spring. Every weekend visitors can expect vintage, antique and collectible vendors; fresh BnG roasted coffee served via a "coffee bike"; vinyl-spinning DJs; seating, stroller parking, plenty of shade, and fresh blooming flowers!

Bump 'n Grind Wax's Version Excursion #2

This week’s Liner Note’s continues the second part of Bump ‘n Grind Wax’s Version Excursion. In January, David and Brady embarked on a short respite to the musical shores of Jamaica. Documented in part one, their first day in Kingston set the scene for the rest of their trip: a mission to discover the history and sounds that shaped Jamaica’s undeniable imprint on contemporary music. From the record shops in Downtown Kingston, part two takes the BnG Wax duo 2,000 feet above sea level to the coffee-growing communities of the Blue Mountains.

Bump 'n Grind Wax's Version Excursion #1

In January, the Bump ‘n Grind Wax team, David and Brady, embarked on a remarkable musical quest to the “Land of Wood and Water”, the tropical island of Jamaica, where grooves grow plenty! In just a handful of days, David and Brady dove straight into the birthplace of reggae music, connecting with a few of today’s torchbearers keeping the vinyl culture alive. In 2021, Bump ‘n Grind fulfilled a long-imagined project for the brand, the creation of a limited-run vinyl record label.

As our small business is dedicated to promoting the intersection of coffee, music – especially vinyl records– and community, Bump ‘n Grind Wax was started to promote DJ-centric music alongside the artists and producers that have been integral to the growth of our community over the years.
