An Analog Life: DJ Enyah shares their Radiant Love for Records and Music!

Bump 'n Grind has had many musically-inclined people contribute to our community and small business development. We offer a space for expression and participation in all facets of our love for coffee, music, and community.

DJ Enyah has been a vital cog to our operations and musical transmissions over the past couple years. Their energy sparks a contagious curiosity and wonder for records, sound, and the power of music to bring comfort and resilience to peoples life. Their legendary Analog Market Vinyl Sessions, every second saturday of the month, have become ethereal marathons; long-format voyages through intersectional genres of dance music and cutting-edge indie rock, punk, and synth-wave.

New Release: BNG-005 - Jacques Renault's "That's What You Are" / "My Love is Guaranteed"

Since 2022 kicked off, Bump 'n Grind Wax has been active playing the music we love, building up the record store at Analog Market, and promoting our growing brand over the past couple months. Much of our efforts have been in anticipation for the arrival of our fifth 7" release from Jacques Renault. BNG-005 is a labor of love and patience, one subject to the numerous delays impacting the global vinyl record industry. We are happy to finally announce that our black wax shipment of BNG-005 has arrived stateside!

Bump 'n Grind Wax's Version Excursion #2

This week’s Liner Note’s continues the second part of Bump ‘n Grind Wax’s Version Excursion. In January, David and Brady embarked on a short respite to the musical shores of Jamaica. Documented in part one, their first day in Kingston set the scene for the rest of their trip: a mission to discover the history and sounds that shaped Jamaica’s undeniable imprint on contemporary music. From the record shops in Downtown Kingston, part two takes the BnG Wax duo 2,000 feet above sea level to the coffee-growing communities of the Blue Mountains.

Bump 'n Grind Wax's Version Excursion #1

In January, the Bump ‘n Grind Wax team, David and Brady, embarked on a remarkable musical quest to the “Land of Wood and Water”, the tropical island of Jamaica, where grooves grow plenty! In just a handful of days, David and Brady dove straight into the birthplace of reggae music, connecting with a few of today’s torchbearers keeping the vinyl culture alive. This week’s Liner Notes documents this quick, but impactful, trip for B ‘n G Wax, one that left profound impressions on the importance of music and art as a vessel to navigate the uncertainties and calamities of everyday life.

Bump 'n Grind Wax in Review

In 2021, Bump ‘n Grind fulfilled a long-imagined project for the brand, the creation of a limited-run vinyl record label.

As our small business is dedicated to promoting the intersection of coffee, music – especially vinyl records– and community, Bump ‘n Grind Wax was started to promote DJ-centric music alongside the artists and producers that have been integral to the growth of our community over the years.
