About The Farm:
The Ubiriki Valley Sustainable Coffee Agrarian Cooperative was formed on November 7, 2004 in the basin of the Ubiriki River. The Ubiriki River, namesake of this cooperative, is a tributary of the Perené River that flows into the Amazon River. At its founding in 2004, the Ubiriki cooperative had 97 members. Today that number has grown to over 530 members. Additionally, they are proud to share that 30% of their members are female coffee producers, a number they hope will continue to grow over the coming years.
The Ubiriki Valley Sustainable Coffee Agricultural Cooperative was created as part of a project to support farmers for the improvement of the quality of Peruvian coffee. It is their goal to establish and improve agricultural practices for sustainable specialty coffee production.
