Coffee. Music. Food.

A boutique coffee & vinyl record shop in Silver Spring.

About Us

Coffee and Vinyl Records

These are two of our favorite things. They each bring joy to our senses; taste, smell, auditory. Both have also seen technology deliver these pleasures to a faster, consumer driven world, whether it be a cup of coffee, or favorite espresso drink, or the sound of music. We believe that much like a record spinning on a platter and the slow drip of a pour over, coffee and music are both best enjoyed in their most analog forms.

So we decided to combine the two and bring the South Silver Spring Community a coffee shop with a love and passion for great coffee, espresso, and vinyl records.

We serve personally roasted, small batch coffees from around the world. They rotate as harvesting seasons come and go.

We have highly curated and small selections of new vinyl releases with a focus on dance music, funk, soul, dub, rock, hiphop, jazz, and everything in between. Listening stations allow customers to get lost in music and refine their selections prior to purchase.

Our walls are adorned with images of local music icons, events that we’ve produced in the DC area and a mural by a local DC artist inspired by an album cover. Our foods, and custom products are named after legendary music institutions.

We hope you will enjoy our laid back atmosphere and relax to free wireless internet and a community turntable stocked with a crate of records for every customer to dig into and find gems to play over the shop’s sound system or personal headphones.

Come see why, sometimes, the best things are enjoyed at a slower pace.

We love coffee but we also love music. You could say we enjoy stimulating our senses, whether it’s our taste buds or auditory. Owner David Fogel has a rich and long history in the DC dance music scene and he loves records. Yes, records.

We appreciate and enjoy all the conveniences modern technology has provided to help make the process of listening to music more efficient, but we also love the connection that’s created when listening to your favorite song or artist on that age old spinning platform. From the warmth of the analog signal path to reading the album covers and enjoying the art, we believe music is best enjoyed on wax.

We stock and carry new vinyl releases from across a spectrum of genres. With a focus on dance music, our selections are highly curated. We hope you stop in and listen to the records we have for sale through one of two listening stations equipped with tube powered headphone amplifiers.

If it’s a comfortable environment to enjoy your drink that you seek, you can also dig through our selection of house records available to all paying customers. Take advantage of our community turntable, or request a pair of headphones (provided in exchange for a govt. issued ID) for listening.
