Two New Coffees from Colombia and Uganda - Bump 'n Grind Coffee Shop

Two New Coffees from Colombia and Uganda

We're excited to offer two new coffees, from small businesses in Uganda and Colombia. The shade grown coffee from the Bigusu region of Uganda is grown on Mt. Elgon. It's sweet with canned peach notes, honey and grape. Robusta Coffee can still be found growing wild in Uganda. Commercial cultivation of coffee began early in the 20th century and grew quickly. Only 250 bags were exported in 1909. By 1918, exports had reached 75,000 bags. Like coffee in much of post-colonial Africa, coffee production in Uganda struggled with disease, disruption, and dictatorship for the last half of the 20th century, but exports have been relatively stable in recent decades and Arabica production has increased. In 2020, coffee exports exceeded 5 million bags for the first time.

The coffee we're offering from Colombia comes from the hills of the Sierra Nevada mountains with tasting notes of Mandarin Orange, Graham Cracker and Milk Chocolate. It is USDA Organic certified
